Bare Essentials Natural Market is offering fantastic savings on Champion 2000+ juicers in stock. When it comes to quality and value you can’t beat a Champion.

NOW $199.00….Suggested Retail $320.00

The Champion 2000+ Juicer includes a number of
features that bring the power and durability of commercial juicers directly to
your kitchen countertop.

 Easy To Use

Designed with simplicity in mind, the Champion
2000+ Juicer doesn’t require nuts, bolts, screws or clamps. Assembly can be
completed in seconds. Cleaning is equally quick and painless.

 Versatile

A large feeding chamber reduces prep time by
eliminating the need to cut vegetables into smaller pieces. In addition to fresh
juices, this unit can also make fruit sauces, baby foods, nut butters, ice
cream, sherbets and everybody’s favorite – fruit smoothies. Exchange a single
part, and your juicer is instantly transformed into a homogenizer. A grain mill
attachment extends your healthier eating choices to include grains and flours.

Powerful

A heavy-duty motor delivers true, industrial-strength power for an improved masticating process that chews the fibers to break loose high volumes of cells saturated with important healthy values. A floating cutter effectively separates the juice from the pulp in one quiet, continuous – and seemingly effortless – operation. (Bonus: no intermittent cleaning required!)

  Durable

Long-lasting stainless steel construction resists both wear and food odor. A stainless steel shaft is complemented by the tempered stainless steel blades cast directly into the cutter for added strength. This way, the blades will never separate, twist, tarnish or rust. The durability of the Champion 2000+ Juicer is backed by a 5 year limited warranty on all juicing parts and a 3 year warranty on it’ motor.

  The Bottom Line?
Champion delivers the goodness!

Your Champion 2000+ Juicer is designed to produce the highest possible quality of juices and foods. It’s a difference you can see in the color of the juice: darker, richer colors contain more of the pigments – and nutrients – you desire, while the extracted pulp is pale in color. And rest assured, it’s a difference you can taste. Champion juices will likely be richer, sweeter and more full bodied than any juice you’ve tasted before.

Employee Pick: Sprouted Grain Flours

Until the 20th century, grain naturally sprouted in the field before it was milled into flour. The invention of the combine harvester during the Industrial Revolution changed everything. Grain could be harvested in the field and then moved to storage bins. The time-honored practice of sprouting was cast aside for modern processing.

Unfortunately, nutrition was also cast aside. When whole grains are not allowed to ferment or sprout, they don’t contain the nutrients that sprouted whole grains do. And they retain the naturally occurring anti-nutrients, even when milled into flour.

To Your Health Sprouted Flour Co. has returned to the traditional practice of sprouting grains in order to render them more nutritious and digestible. However, they don’t leave our grains out in the field to sprout. The grains are nurtured in their facility, where they allow them to sprout, and then dry them at a very low temperature, to maintain precious vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.

Why Sprouted Grains?

Easier to Digest – Sprouting breaks down the starches in grains into simple sugars so your body can digest them like a vegetable (like a tomato, not a potato).
Increased Nutrition
Vitamin C – Sprouting produces vitamin C.
Vitamin B – Sprouting increases the vitamin B content (B2, B5, and B6).
Carotene – Sprouting increases the carotene up to eight times.
Enzymes – Sprouting actually produces enzymes, which aid in digestion.

Reduced Anti-nutrients

Phytic Acid – a substance present in the bran of all grains that inhibits the absorption of      calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, and zinc.

Enzyme inhibitors – present in all seeds, these inhibitors can neutralize or own precious enzymes in the digestive tract.

Here at Bare Essentials Natural Market we are glad to offer a variety of  To Your Health Sprouted Grain Flours including, Wheat, Barley, Spelt and Corn Flour. I have used these in many of my favorite recipes and have been extremely happy with the results. I recommend that you give them a try and let me know your results!

Employee Pick: Ed’s Kasilof Wild Alaskan Salmon

by Amy Nimens

I grew up on an island where the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean meet. The abundance and variety of fresh seafood we enjoyed was unrivaled: shrimp, lobster, stone crabs, all kinds of snapper…the list seems endless. I love living in the mountains of North Carolina, but I do miss going out on the boat in the afternoon and catching dinner.

Luckily for me, I have found a substitution. It is my favorite product here at Bare Essentials. We carry a line of Wild Alaskan Salmon from Ed’s Kasilof Seafood, Inc. The variety includes Sockeye, King and Coho. This salmon is flash frozen and shipped overnight from Kasilof, Alaska to Bare Essentials.

I am particularly fond of the Coho. It is very mild and tender. When my family was visiting, we grilled it with a light tamari and brown sugar glaze. It was just wonderful.
Alas, I think if a poll were taken of the Bare Essentials employees , the hands down winner would be the Smoked Salmon. It is hot smoked, cooked unpreserved over Alderwood. This salmon it fully cooked.

I attended a party at Mary and Ben’s and my co-worker, Andrea Morgan, brought the most delicious Cream Cheese w/Smoked Salmon I have ever tasted. It has become my go to recipe every time I need to bring a dish. It is fast, easy and very versatile. With Andrea’s permission I repeat a version of her recipe.

Andreas Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Euphoria

  • 8oz Cream Cheese Softened
  • 1/4 lb Kasilof Smoked Salmon (thawed, skin removed)
  • 1 Tbls Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Dash (or to taste) Worchestire
  • Diced Onion to taste (I prefer green or spring onion to add a nice color)

Combine everything EXCEPT the Salmon until smooth and well incorporated.

Break the Salmon in good sized pieces and gently fold into cream cheese mixture.

Refrigerate

I love this recipe because you can add or delete ingredients.

Double or triple the amount.

It’s all about your taste.

Thanks to Andrea!

Employee Pick: LARENIM Mineral Foundation

Choosing only one favorite product is decidedly difficult, but I went with one that has made a noticeable difference in my life in the past few months.

I’ve chosen Larenim Mineral Foundation. It’s the only makeup I will put on my sensitive, acne prone skin, and it seems to have even improved those conditions over time.  I stopped using oily cream foundation when I realized that it was only contributing to most of my skin issues.  I love that this makeup was developed by a woman who has struggled with these same problems, and wanted to create an all-natural makeup line that can potentially be a solution for problem skin.

The silky powder is easy to apply (I use a kabuki brush). It’s lightweight, and has great coverage that lasts all day without becoming greasy or caked-on. Take comfort in knowing that this makeup is free of talc, gluten, nano-particles, parabens, chemical preservatives, and dyes.

Other reasons to love Larenim Mineral foundation: a little goes a long way, and you can always get that last little bit out of the container! Also, the mineral content can function as added sun protection to keep your skin beautiful and healthy.

Employee Pick: Nubian Heritage’s African Black Soap

Picking one favorite is hard, but I’m going to have to go with Nubian Heritage’s African Black Soap.  Since using soap is a daily necessity, the way it effects my skin is important to me.  Soap can be harsh and drying, but the shea butter actually hydrates.  Also, the combination of ingredients in this particular bar make it effective for “eczema, acne, oily skin, psoriasis, and other skin ailments.”  Plus it smells great!

I feel good, too, knowing that Nubian Heritage is doing good things for good people… here’s a little about them:

“The company purchases ingredients directly from women cooperatives and indigenous     farmers in Africa, paying above market prices to help improve the standard of living for  those suppliers. They are working closely with local and international organizations, including ECOSERVE and AFRICARE, to protect the integrity of ingredients and improve production processes to ensure sustainable harvests. Partnering with organizations such as The Liberian Education Fund and Todee Mission, the company is working to build schools and provide access to education for impoverished girls in Africa, many of who are suppliers of Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and other natural ingredients.”
